Interested in the darker aspects of life, Candy takes amusement in
drawing the melancholy and the sinister. Often deriving ideas from
dreams and poetry, these visualizations are then illustrated mostly in
pencil, graphite and sometimes gouache.
Candy has exhibited at galleries including Cross Street Studios and
Artspace and more recently, a series of her drawings at The Franklin
Arts Centre inside The New Zealand Steel Gallery.
