DJ/VJ Jimmy Olsen. Born and raised in the UK's South-West Jimmy always wanted to be an astronaut (I know, so original) until creative technologies and processes got in the way.

21 years later came the move to Auckland NZ where, as a director, editor, designer, producer, photographer, dj & vj, he's feeling pretty happy with it all so far.Since the big move he has popped up on Fleet FM , George FM and at Yam Jams with Elbo-E.

2008 saw Jimmy team up with VJ Grafix to form ‘Nude On The Moon’ which started with Grafix providing visuals while Jimmy mixed the music. A year later both members mix and vj at the same time, not only other artists music, but also special video remixes made by themselves. Added ot this the fact they project two sets of visuals onto on three screens, one of which is a weather balloon they are not a group to be missed. You can see them at there regular gigs at the Butter Bank in Whangarei.

Jimmy, not losing sight of where he started, still continues with solo ventures. 2009 saw the release of LISTEN WITH VISION. A visual mixtape showcasing not only his prowess on the turntables but also his ability to finding random, interesting videos from a vast range of arts and culture (no screen-savers here) and connect them to the music he is mixing. He also became a semi finalist in the Jr Jedi Competition held at Trench bar and run by Dj Phillipa.

2009 also saw him tour the country as the Dj/Vj for AKIL the Mc (Jurassic 5) covering Queenstown, Christchurch, Nelson, Wellington and Auckland, with radio spots and Red Bull Live studio set in between.

With his boundless enthusiasm and eclectic selections, it's impossible to pin this man down so be prepared for anything and everything!

The live outfit which is NUMBERS consists of EDDIE NEWTON (MC), DJ SCIZZOR HANDS, REGAL (Drums, beat-maker), BEN HEALY (Guitar, Keys, Bass) and JESS STOWERS (vocals).

NUMBERS have impressed drunken crowds, sober crowds, Hip Hop, Reggae and Rock crowds alike with Newton’s social commentary, poetry or 'whatever you wanna call lyrics' as he explains his point of view.

The band has a diverse sound and refuses to be pigeon holed. They create tunes from a solid Hip Hop base taking collage cuts out from different genres and make it their own.

NUMBERS are currently working with Mike Neilson who is supplying beats out of London's Strongroom Studios. Neilson has worked with an impressive lineup of artists including KRS-1 U2, RUFUS WAINWRIGHT, TOM BAXTER, ORSON, LADYFUZZ, UNDERWORLD, NICK CAVE, BOLLYWOOD BREAKS, SANTANA and Co-produced/Mixed for JAMIROQUAI. These grooves form compelling backdrops for Newton’s deft commentary and are currently being recorded with internationally successful, hit maker and producer Alan Jansson.

NUMBERS are happy, single and readily mingling with genres; “swapping glasses and grasses smoking, talking like mate from the city of sails and expensive ales, not to go into too many details.”
