Miho Wada is a well-established multi-instrumentalist and singer from Japan / New Zealand. She has toured internationally including performances at the WOMAD festivals, Love Box Festival, Havana International Jazz Festival, Tanja Latina Festival (Morocco) and Nagaoka Winter Festival (Japan). Miho has recently been on Orcon’s TV ad with the punk legend Iggy Pop playing “The Passenger” on piano and flute. She has also performed with Jarvis Cocker, Nigel Kennedy, members of Buena Vista Social Club, Sierra Maestra and toured around the world with the Ska Cubano.

In 2009 Miho started her Japanese Punk Jazz band based in Auckland, New Zealand. She sings her songs with quirky lyrics in English and Japanese as well as improvising on flute and saxophone. She is accompanied by the guitar, bass and drums, creating a unique mix of rock / punk / jazz / funk and contemporary world music. Miho Wada & band had their international debut at the SXSW in Austin, Texas in March 2010 and they were immediately booked for a world tour in July - August 2010 performing in Japan, France and USA.
Their fine musicianship and explosive instrumental solos create a dynamic atmosphere that flows from the stage. Miho’s 5-piece band from New Zealand brings you a stunning mix of Asian & Pacific sounds.
