First Thursdays is a community-conscious collaboration of artisans and art lovers whose ultimate goal is to showcase new and exciting talent in the fields of visual arts, music and performance.
On the first Thursday of four months a year, K Road will come alive with visual artists, performance artists, photographers, musicians, DJs, and hopefully... you! If you live in Auckland or just visiting for the summer, come be a part of the collaboration!

During the upcoming First Thursdays in June, we will be showcasing short films by local filmmakers. The purpose of this event is to showcase a new medium during First Thursdays, hoping to give more exposure to local filmmakers in our community. The films will be showcased at The Film Archive on Karangahape Road. Curating this exhibition will be Campbell Farquhar from the NZ Film Archive and James Solomon, an established filmmaker and music video director in New Zealand.
