Shariyah was born into a family of artists. Rather than attending fine art schools, her childhood was spent drawing and painting with her 5 sisters in the hills of Tennessee and the mountains of Montana. Shariyah has since moved to New Zealand and now resides on Waiheke Island. Here she spends most of each day painting and creating in her studio. Shariyah's work can be found in various exhibits and galleries as well as online. Her most recent work explores mixed media portraits, with a reniassance-like feel that embodies a spiritual or expressive essence.

One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. “Which road do I take?” she asked. “Where do you want to go?” was his response. “I don’t know,” Alice answered. “Then,” said the cat, “it doesn’t matter”. Like Alice, the direction I head in is not as important as the journey I take to get there. I love drawing things and I love designing. My work travels through many narratives before coming to its end point. I believe in telling a story through what I do. It's nice when you look at a piece and think there might be something else happening there, even if you don't figure it out. More often then not my work is a conversation between the handmade and the computer.

Little Lamp is a new line of jewellery created by Monique in order to get her creative wobblies out. While studying sculpture at uni, Monique grew to love making functional art - objects that blurred the line between furniture and sculpture. However nowadays she faces the slight issue of not having room to store any more of her furniture peices, and more importantly not having access to a fully equipped workshop to make them in the first place! The solution was to downsize. Now you can wear Monique's sculpture around your neck. Or off your ears. Or on your shirt. Still functional, but not so bulky... She experiments with creating colourful and funky pendants, kooky animals or just fun objects.
Little Lamp is about humorous, cute, innovative jewellery that will bring the smile out of any old fart. |

Bibliographica is the work of Louise, with a focus on Book Arts, Photography & Costume Jewellery. Louise creates handbound books & journals using predominantly recycled materials, right down to the paper. Due to the recycled materials on hand, each piece is a one off so entirely unique. These make wonderful gifts for writers, thinkers, doodlers, artists, poets, dreamers... or anyone who just wants to put something down on paper. Also for sale are Louise's original botanical photographic collages which she makes by hand into cards and related gift stationery. You can also find these designs in her costume jewellery, in the likes of pendants, earrings and brooches. A popular addition to her line is little handbound book necklaces - functional little bindings you can wear around your neck.
